Spring Bank Holiday 'Festival of Glass'
Alford Craft Market's Spring Bank Holiday event 'Festival of Glass' will be held over the weekend of 25th, 26th and 27th of May between 10am and 5pm each day.
Held in the characterful Alford Manor House Grounds on West Street right in the centre of the picturesque Market town, the craft event offers an opportunity for the public to meet a variety of artisans and makers who will be selling their high quality work over the weekend, to learn a little (or a lot) about their work and to purchase something with personality, a story of skills and talent, something that you won't find in every shopping centre in the country.
We have called this years event a 'Festival of Glass' and amongst numerous artists from around the region our event will showcase artists who work with glass. A number of glass-work artists have been especially commissioned to demonstrate their skills during the event.
Antony Wassell will demonstrate glass-blowing, Fyre Birds glass bead making, Gillian Wing and Fiona Radford stained glass and Hazel Graves glass painting.
Workshops will also be available for those who feel inspired to 'try their hand' at some of the skills and of course work from these featured artists will also be available for sale.
Entrance to the event is free, however we greatly welcome and appreciate all donations.
Alford Craft Market is entirely run by volunteers and all your donations help towards funding our events.
Come along, have some fun, learn something new and go home with something unique.
