The Mayor and the Vicar opened the evening and switched on the Lights. The evening also featured Santa giving away presents. The Hunts Coasches took Santa to his grotto and later, children (2 to 10 year olds) were be able to ride on a coach to see Santa. Carol singing, market stalls, a display of art in the Corn Exchange and the Alford Silver Band were some of the other attractions. Its entertainment and fun for all the family. | ATEC wishes to thank all the people who helped Alford By Candlelight be
such a great success. Hunts Coaches stepped in at the last minute to ferry children from Alford Market Place to Santa's Grotto at the Christian Centre. The people at the Christian Centre provided drinks and soup while the children and parents waited for their turn to see Santa. The lads from Willoughby Road who helped to erect and take down the stalls on the Market Place. |
