On Saturday and Sunday Robert Rae entertained the young and not so young with his traditional Punch and Judy show.

On each day during the festival anyone wishing to try their hand at juggling were encouraged to join one of the ever popular workshops.

On Monday Joe Kriss a contemporary urban poet and wordsmith held four sessions with his observations on life and thought provoking story-telling and poetry. His recent performances in London include Tate Modern, Ronnie Scott’s and RADA.

On Saturday for those interested in playing or singing traditional / folk music there was a free workshop session in the Half Moon Hotel, West St. This was led by students from the Newcastle University Traditional Music Degree course and the local Ceilidh band “Rakeup”. The workshop was repeated on Sunday and was followed by a short performance in the Marquee in the Manor House grounds.

Saturday:
The music marquee on Saturday welcomed three highly respected acts Larkspur, Christi Andropolis with David Newey and finally Sandfly.

Sunday:
An exciting and varied programme to suit everyone’s taste with the Mountain Oyster followed by Lander Mason.

Monday:
programme sees the return of Drowning Fish a local band and the ever popular Grimsby folk band Merlin’s Keep.
Also highly regarded on the English music scene is the French singer/songwriter with a Geordie accent Flossie Malavialle who enchanted the listeners with a mixture of traditional English folk songs and French ballads.
