(Dip. Ceramics [Dist.]; Dip M. Society of Industrial Artists and Designers; Crafts Council Award 1976) The work produced in Lincolnshire since 1976 has continually changed; exploring stoneware and raku techniques. A range of practical domestic stoneware has been the mainstay of the business, supplied to customers throughout Britain. A constant interest and source of inspiration is the diversity of ceramic materials and processes. Locally found minerals are collected and mixed with clay and glazes to develop original colours and surface textures. |

Textile Design by Jane Snowden Jane Snowden trained in Derby as a textile designer. Numerous techniques have been used since the business started in 1976 including patchwork and appliqúe and embroidery. Innovative and unusual cushions, hangings, waistcoats and hats have been made for customers throughout the UK. Colour and texture have always been paramount to her work. Both the textiles and ceramics produced in the workshop complement each other in terms of colour and style. Commissions are produced to customers own design. |
