About us at Alford

This Website is devoted to promoting the local Community. It is primarily financed by the People of Alford and district. Our objective is to inform the World about us; to tell them about ourselves, our Town and what we offer to the Visitor, Potential Resident and Local People who live in Lincolnshire.

A special thanks to the Alford Crafmarket and the Civic Trust for their support and encouragement in this Community Project.

Our world famous Craft Market that only has handmade and quality goods on sale. We have all kinds of entertainment through out the year, such as Five-sailed Windmill and our own Museum (the Manor House) run by the Civic Trust. There places to stay and houses for sale.

Alford is situated at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds in which is great for rambling and cycling. There are walks, pretty villages, bridle paths, inns, tea shops and of course, Somersby, the birthplace of Alfred Lord Tennyson. Not far away is Spilsby famous for its Auction Market and being the birthplace of Sir John Franklin.
